El Presidente - just the faq's, ma'am

What made you come up with this idea for a comic? Why Teddy Roosevelt?

Well, I had helped out some with Dan Kent and Neobaka, and I wanted to do my own webcomic by myself. I wanted to do something random, and I had just finished reading "Theodore Rex" by Edmund Morris, and so I thought Theodore Roosevelt would make for some funny subject matter. ^_^ Besides, it gives me a chance to practice / try to improve my drawing, and it makes me a legitimate Keenspacer, hehe...

How long do you plan on making this comic for?

*shrug* Who knows? Until I get bored with Teddy Roosevelt antics, I guess...

Are you working with anyone else?

Not really... unless anyone wants to do guest comics. ~_^ I got some help from Spencer King (aka "Crazykiltman") with designing the robot El Presidente, but most of this I did on my own.

Teddy Roosevelt, I can see... but why a robot?

Why not? He needs something to fight bad-guys in, right?

When does it take place?

Modern-day. Teddy Roosevelt is brought back from the dead to do battle across the universe! See above on "why Teddy Roosevelt?"

Are you doing this because you have a strong interest in political figures?

Well, I wouldn't really say I'm into politics more than anyone else, but Teddy Roosevelt is an interesting character by himself. If you really wanted to see some political-figure funnies then check out the webcomic below the fold, or the "Read My Lips" videos at atmo.se. They're pretty funny! ^_^

What do you think T.R. would think of you doing this?

I think he'd like it, lol. At least he'd think it's great that I'm giving something like this a try...
